Full Job Description
FinTech RS is working with one of our large Oil & Gas clients who are looking to hire a Tax Accountant on a permanent basis.
This position will join a busy Tax team consisting of 6 employees. This team supports with business corporate tax compliance and reporting for over 70 entities worldwide. Reporting into the Senior Tax Manager this role will assist our client in meeting their tax compliance and reporting obligations locally and internally. Candidates will ideally have a strong understanding I both IFRS Accounting and UK Corporate Tax
Key duties:
- Preparation of quarterly reporting packages for tax.
- Preparation of year-end reporting tax packs under IFRS.
- Preparation of tax disclosures for IFRS statutory accounting purposes.
- Monitoring and reconciling tax accounts, including withholding tax reviews.
- Preparation of UK tax computations from base financial data and filing returns.
- Liaising with external advisers to manage the preparation of overseas returns.
- Ensuring there is consistency in approach, quality and preparation of deliverables.
- Preparing file notes and audit defense files for key judgements and UTTs.
- Ad hoc support on other projects as required.
Candidates will ideally hold a recognised finance qualification whilst any tax specific qualification is beneficial. Candidates should have in depth knowledge of IFRS.
