Tax Manager with RSM

We are looking for a Tax Manager to join our Tax Team in the Lerwick office.

This is a varied role involving mainly personal tax compliance and advisory work, managing payroll processing and preparation of Income and Expenditure accounts for a broad range of clients. Client communication will be key as well as the ability to mentor and develop colleagues and liaise with other departments in the Lerwick office.

Previous experience is essential however we will consider individuals who have the key skills but need support to move to Manager level. A nationally recognised qualification is also required either at AAT or ATT/CTA level.

The successful candidate should have the ability to work well leading a team or on their own depending on the size and nature of the work. We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic individual who is good at communicating, with strong written and verbal skills to join a busy office. There are opportunities to develop and grow both locally and nationally.

This post is full time - 37.5 hours per week but part-time from 30 hours per week will also be considered., At this time of year our busy audit team advertise for graduates to join RSM. This could be someone looking to progress with their studies via the ICAS qualifications though we also welcome school/college leavers looking for progression with AAT qualifications to get in touch.
