Job purpose:

As the EUC Technical Operations Manager, you will lead a team of technicians responsible for the break-fix and build of end-user computing devices, including desktops, laptops, thin-clients, mobile devices, and printers. You will collaborate closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and the delivery of high-quality products/services to meet the needs and expectations of a broad client portfolio. The role requires a combination of leadership skills, technical expertise, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities;

End User Computing Management:

  • Oversee the break-fix, build and maintenance of end-user computing hardware and software systems.

  • Ensure timely resolution of end-user device technical issues and service requests through effective incident management processes.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop roadmaps, demand plans and budgets for the team and EUC initiatives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and operations departments, to address technical challenges, implement solutions, and support organizational objectives.

  • Identify and resolve issues impacting the build and maintenance of end-user computing hardware and provide guidance to team members.


  • Maintain accurate reporting of workload execution and output volumes to meet client reporting requirements. Generate regular progress reports and performance metrics to track team efficiency and project outcomes.


  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead a team of EUC technicians and administrators, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship.

  • Plan and allocate resources to meet shifting demand patterns and escalations.

  • Provide guidance and support for skill development, training, and career advancement opportunities.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the technical operations team.

  • Develop and maintain team procedures, documentation, and knowledge base resources.

  • Identify and recruit talent into the team.


  • Process Optimization:
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and automate repetitive tasks to improve operational efficiency.

  • Enforce quality standards and best practices to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of technical systems.

  • Work with the Quality teams to develop and ensure adherence to all processes and operating standards.

  • Continuously monitor workflows to identify and implement service improvements and ensure workforce optimisation.


  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proven experience in end-user computing management, technical operations management, or a similar role.

  • In-depth knowledge of a broad range of end user compute devices, desktop/laptop hardware and operating systems.

  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and initiatives in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Availability to work outside of regular business hours when necessary to address emergencies or critical issues.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
