Join us as a Platform Lead

  • We'll look to you to manage all aspects of change, run and operational health of your platform that's aligned to the business's vision

  • It's a highly collaborative role that will see you working closely with key stakeholders and centres of excellence to build the right solutions that deliver customer value

  • This is a chance to have real influence, and see your decisions producing tangible results in this high profile, critical role

  • What you'll do

As Platform Lead, you'll be delivering and owning the platform operational stability and performance, including maintaining applications, systems, utilities and tools. Through understanding the technical direction and emerging technologies and trends, we'll look to you to manage the technical architecture and design of your platform and how it aligns to domain and enterprise roadmaps and targets.

Alongside this, you'll champion and plan the delivery of business value and an enhanced customer experience as you lead teams to understand and focus on customer outcomes.

    You'll also be:
  • Owning and creating the platform technical road map with the right architecture, solutions and commercial value

  • Managing the tensions inherent in working through implementing competing customer priorities with business leaders and business product owners

  • Providing expertise to ensure optimal business solutions that meet our customers' needs and the overall strategy and roadmap

  • Owning the remediation of technical issues to simplify and improve the platform's architecture and technology

We're looking for a strong leader, with experience of managing managers. You'll be a strong communicator with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to your peers and senior management, with good collaboration and stakeholder management skills. You'll have demonstrable experience and knowledge of running high performance large scaled programmes, projects and teams, paired with domain and platform product knowledge. Experience of Adobe products such as AEM, Target, Campaign and AEP would be beneficial but not essential.

  • On top of this, you'll have:
  • A strong background in service transition, design and operation on a customer facing platform ideally in a regulated environment

  • Good knowledge of Content Management Systems along with associated supporting application and infrastructure concepts such as Content delivery networks, web application firewalls, databases, middleware and orchestration services, microservice and Java based development

  • Experience of developing and implementing a platform strategy and promoting this to other areas of the organisation

  • Experience of Agile, Scrum and SAFe practices and the use of iterative change and experimentation as tools to drive continuous improvement across a service

  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders, influencing decision making and thinking strategically
