The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice provides gold standard specialist palliative care for our patients both within the hospice and in our patients own home. We are committed to caring, not just for our patients, but for their families and carers. We offer truly person-centred compassionate care for people with life-limiting and progressive illnesses. Our overriding aim is that while we cannot add days to life, we will add life to days.

We have an incredible nursing team, working alongside other clinicians as part of a wider hospice team. We treat our patients holistically, with respect and dignity, and our team of caring health and social care professionals make sure patients are fully supported throughout their time with us. If you want to make a real difference to your patients then wed love for you to join our team. As one of our dedicated nursing team you will be a highly motivated and compassionate registered nurse with empathy and an in-depth understanding of issues encountered by patients with palliative care needs. A qualification or experience in the care of young adults with complex needs would be desirable, but not essential. You will be able to demonstrate a commitment to quality and put patients and families at the heart of all you do.

If you have the ability to provide truly person-centred care for patients and families and you have a track record in acting with integrity, treating all with respect and of working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team then you will fit in well in our inpatient unit. With a focus on getting it right for every patient and every family, every time you will have the opportunity to develop your palliative nursing skills and experience further in a hospice that strives always to achieve excellence.

Our inpatient unit is based within a new-build hospice providing a 21st century modern environment within the beautiful surroundings of Bellahouston Park. We offer a full staff benefits package and training and development is actively encouraged.

Recent experience of specialist palliative care nursing is desirable.
