Full Job Description

We are currently looking for an experienced Wardrobe Technician to join our Artistic Team at an exciting time of growth, on a permanent basis. The current position is for a full time working 38 hours per week Mon-Fri, however during rehearsal periods, Oct-No + February, this will increase and WILL include some weekend work.

The role:



  • Oversee the care, repair, laundering and maintenance of all costumes, wigs and staff uniforms



  • Maintain the inventory and database of all costumes, uniforms and sundries



  • Assist in the sourcing, budgeting, shopping and ordering of all supplies related to the department

    A minimum of 2 years experience using various types of sewing machines and hand stitching
  • Experience with cutting, sewing and manipulating a wide variety of fabric types


  • Experience with fittings and alterations




  • A knowledge or interest in theatrical design



  • A basic knowledge of safe working procedures

  • Ability to work efficiently, both within a team and independently



  • Calm under pressure, and can effectively prioritise, multi-task and work to tight deadlines



  • A strong work ethic, with an enthusiastic and positive outlook



  • Exceptional organisation skills with a keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail

    Our busy office based in Ayr KA8, houses a multi skilled team of both creative and administrative staff, working cohesively to ensure our highly respected brand and customer care continues to improve and maintain the highest of standards.

    £21,250 - £23,000 a year - Permanent, Full-time, Salary will be £21,250 - £23,000. (depending on age and experience) to include 28 days holiday & company pension scheme.
