Full Job Description

Scot JCB are looking for a Warranty Administrator to join our team in Glasgow.

This role involves working closely with the aftersales team to ensure all warranty resolutions, ranging across over 15 different manufacturers, are concluded in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction and the recovery of all financial costs from our manufacturing partners.


Hours: 8.30am – 5pm, Monday to Friday based at our Dennistoun office

Scot JCB has been supplying and servicing JCB machinery throughout Scotland and the North of England for over 60 years. Key role responsibilities include:


  • Ensuring all warranty claims are submitted in a timely manner within the timescales for each manufacturer
  • Submitting JCB & non JCB warranty claims within manufacturer time scales
  • Submitting policy/goodwill claims for consideration for each manufacturer
  • Monitoring all JCB & non JCB warranty payments, rejections and queries
  • Processing all warranty credits received from each manufacturer
  • Ensuring all warranty queries are resolved with manufacturer time scales
  • Working closely with the warranty team to submit warranty claims
  • Recording the quality of engineer job cards and communicating this out to the business
  • Supporting our Service Supervisors with any warranty queries

The ideal candidate will have:


  • Experience working in an administrative role 
  • Strong attention to detail and be process driven
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong IT skills and the ability to embrace new IT systems
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and work well in a fast-paced environment
  • A flexible, positive and outgoing approach to work
  • A friendly and approachable manner and be able to assist engineers, managers, and customers
  • Experience within the plant industry, car industry or similar would be advantageous
