Full Job Description

Edinburgh Food Project runs seven foodbanks and an FCA accredited Money Advice Service. We have joined with other foodbanks in the North East and South East of the city to expand the advice team and reach yet more people in crisis. As part of this exciting and ambitious development, we are seeking four Welfare Rights Advisers to work at the front line in the fight against poverty. This is a 2-year fixed-term contract at the heart of a forward-thinking organisation dedicated to ending the need for foodbanks. Successful candidates will have some experience of working in an advice setting and have excellent communication and administrative skills. We are also recruiting for a Support Officer and a Senior Adviser. Full details of all the roles are detailed in the Recruitment Pack., None specified

Edinburgh Food Project was set up in 2012 to facilitate the opening of foodbanks to alleviate the effects of food poverty in Edinburgh. Our 8 foodbanks, part of the Trussell Trust network, covering North West & Central Edinburgh fed almost 7,000 men, women and children last year with nutritionally balanced food packs covering three meals for at least three days.
