Full Job Description

An opportunity has become available within the Women s Support Team at CASWA. We are looking for a hard-working, dedicated and enthusiastic professional to join our team. Key responsibilities will include working directly with women who have experienced domestic abuse, providing person-centred support in line with their individual needs. Applicants should possess excellent communication skills, be self-motivated and flexible and have proven experience of supporting adults in a similar environment. The post requires applicants to be SVQ qualified in Health and Social Care or equivalent (or be willing to work towards this qualification) and be a member of The Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme. Applicants should have an understanding of the effects and issues surrounding domestic abuse and violence against women. In addition, applicants should demonstrate a willingness to participate in awareness raising of the service and domestic abuse. Role Requirements: - Qualification suitable for SSSC registration Driving license and transport Post subject to PVG Enhanced Disclosure checks The successful candidate will be required to support women throughout Caithness and Sutherland and will be office based in one of our offices, with the opportunity to work from home for part of the week, as agreed with Line Manager.
