SCOREscotland is based in South West Edinburgh. Our mission and purpose for existence is to work in partnership with others to address the causes and effects of racism and to promote race equality and break down barriers to the full participation of local black and minority ethnic communities in all aspects of civic life. As a small organisation we offer the benefits of working in a team that is committed to making a difference to the people that we work with. We are currently looking to recruit a Youth and Children s Development Officer. The purpose of the job is to develop purposeful links with South West Edinburgh based black and minority ethnic (BME) children and young people (7 - 17 years) increasing opportunities for C&YP to have positive experiences; locally, city-wide and nationally in order to reduce isolation, disadvantage and the achievement gap experienced by many children living in Wester Hailes and surrounding areas. The post is part-time (28 hours per week) and is contracted to 31 March 2027. You will be enthusiastic and motivated individual who will contribute to the development of our work with children and young people., None specified
