This is an opportunity to work in the busy and rewarding role of General Assistant at Moffat 2-18 Academy, 27 hours per week (Monday-Friday), 39 weeks of the year.

The General Assistant at Moffat 2-18 Academy plays a vital role in the smooth and efficient running of the school.

The role is based within the school office clerical team and includes general office tasks along with providing assistance in Home Economics and other departments as required.

We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic and resourceful individual to fulfil this challenging and exciting role in an exceptional school. You should be adaptable, have experience of working in a busy office environment and be a team player.

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.

Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.
