Murray Recruitment have an immediate new vacancy available for an M&S Quantity Surveyor to join our client who is a well-established M&E / Building Services/ FM provider- based from South Lanarkshire.

Reporting to the Managing Director, your role will be to ensure cost to completion on various projects and drive the commercial department forward.

Main duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Own and maintain various accrual and prepayment schedules for month-end - CVR reporting of revenue and gross Income.
Pricing up works, and quotations using schedule of rates and submitting monthly applications.
Measurement of site works and variations.
Liaising with the contracts team on commercial matters.
Review and validate orders received.
Liaise with vetted subcontractors and confirm and manage orders.
Review, validate and obtain approval of any invoices and ensure payment of any valid invoices to sub-contractors.
Assist with the forecasting and budgeting process.
Subcontract and design procurement.
Subcontract payments, variations and final accounts.
Submission of cost value reconciliation's.
Preparation of cost to complete.
Preparation of any ad-hoc reports required by the Managing Director.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

Suitably qualified degree within a relevant discipline (Quantity Surveying or Construction Management).
M&E biased discipline.
Experience of working in a Building Trade environment with an understanding of commercial processes (revenue generation, applications etc). Projects value up to £1.5M.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Good computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office, in particular, be at an intermediate level of Excel.
Capacity to meet tight deadlines.
Driven individual with a desire to progress in your career.

The package available:

Salary up to £45,000 DOE.
Car Allowance up to £4,200 per annum.
Holidays 33 days.
Pension.
Hours: Mon – Thurs 8am – 5pm Fri 8am – 4pm.
