AROS (the Anti-Racism Observatory for Scotland) is a bold, community-rooted initiative dedicated to challenging systemic racism, holding power to account, and amplifying the voices of those most affected by racial injustice in Scotland.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to support AROS’s dynamic and diverse team of friendly and engaging people who are caring and compassionate with each other and have the drive to improve, learn and make change happen. This role is very varied and the work of providing administratively and operationally support critical to the team, all of whom are at the heart of what makes AROS deliver on its vision for an anti-racist Scotland.

As Admin and Operations Coordinator, you will need to respond quickly to the needs of others whilst continuously improving AROS’s environment and processes to meet the organisation’s needs.

You will work closely with the co-CEOS to assist on admin and operational management, co-ordination, workload support and resourcing of the whole team, and collaborate with a range of AROS stakeholders to keep developing the strong, professional working relationships and practices in place.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, have excellent administrative skills and the ability to work well under pressure within a dynamic environment. They will be required to manage a varying workload and have a sound knowledge of administrative systems, processes, and procedures. This role will suit a motivated, proactive individual and staring team player who can work under limited supervision and adapt and respond to the changing needs of an organisation.

The University is recognised as being people-oriented and our staff have access to a wide range of outstanding benefits, including a holiday entitlement of 31 days and 11 statutory days (FTE); in-house training and development through vocational and non-vocational courses; an on-campus nursey; reduced membership at Strathclyde Sport and much more.

Flexibility for blended or hybrid working arrangements (from home, in the office, and travel to work with local partners as required for the role) is available.

For informal enquiries, please contact Benaifer Bhandari, AROS co-CEO, at b.bhandari@ strath.ac.uk.

Interview dates have still to be confirmed.
