Full Job Description

Join our dynamic Catering team at the University of Strathclyde and help lead our buzzing campus retail outlets. We’re looking for an energetic, creative, and people-focused Assistant Catering Manager ready to make a real impact.

In this fast-paced role, you’ll work closely with the Deputy Retail Catering Manager to deliver outstanding food and service experiences across our outlets. Every day brings something new — from inspiring your team to rolling out fresh ideas that keep our offer exciting and relevant to campus life.

You’ll be:

  • A motivational leader who leads by example and brings out the best in your team — even when you’re not on-site.
  • Organised and detail-driven, ensuring operations run smoothly, safely, and to the highest standards.
  • Passionate about great food, great service, and great people, with the creativity to help shape the future of our catering service.

This is a fantastic next step if you’re already managing in hospitality, retail, or university catering and want to take your career to the next level.

We offer a full-time, 35-hour week, typically Monday to Friday, with some evening and weekend work to meet business needs.

If you’re driven, forward-thinking, and love making a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
