Please note: Due to the personal care requirements of the individual being supported, this position is restricted to female applicants under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

Whether you're new to care or looking for your next opportunity, we'll support you every step of the way.

A Role That Truly Matters

As a Carer, you'll play an important role in helping someone remain independent in the comfort of their own home, surrounded by familiar people, places and routines.

Every shift offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference, providing practical support, reassurance and companionship while helping someone live life on their own terms.

You'll build meaningful relationships and become an important part of helping someone maintain their independence and quality of life.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting a female client with personal care, mobility and daily living activities
  • Assisting with medication and dietary requirements while promoting dignity, choice and independence
  • Delivering high-quality, person-centred care tailored to individual needs
  • Supporting emotional wellbeing and helping maintain independence at home
  • Following individual support plans and contributing to positive outcomes
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with the individual you support
  • Maintaining accurate records in line with company policies and procedures
  • Working as part of a supportive team to provide outstanding care

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is caring, compassionate and reliable
  • Enjoys supporting others and making a positive difference
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is patient, respectful and committed to delivering high-quality care
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Is willing to learn, develop and undertake training
  • Shares Highland Home Carers' values and commitment to person-centred support

Essential Requirements

  • Female applicants only (Genuine Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010)
  • Willingness to register with the SSSC and maintain registration
  • Commitment to attending training and review meetings as required
  • Ability to work in the Dingwall area

You do not need to have experience of care and support work (with exception to overseas applicants as below). You need to be committed to making a difference to people’s lives by delivering high-quality care and support. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.

Overseas Applicants

Please note:

  • We can only accept applications from individuals who have the right to work in the UK for a minimum of six months. Sponsorship may be considered after three months of employment.
  • We are currently unable to accept applications from displaced workers.

More Than a Job. A Career With Purpose.

Working in care isn't always easy, but it is one of the most rewarding careers you can choose.

Every shift gives you the opportunity to make a real difference, helping someone maintain their independence, achieve their goals and continue living in the place they call home.

If you're looking for a role where you'll be valued, supported and able to have a positive impact every day, we'd love to hear from you.
