Profile

Since 1994, Highland home Carers (HHC) have been caring for and supporting people, families, loved ones, and communities across the Highlands.

We are an Employee Owned Company, and a Scottish Social Enterprise. We are not for profit, and are firmly rooted in the Highlands.

We are wholly dedicated to caring for and supporting people in their own homes - vital for promoting independence, comfort, and enhanced quality of life by allowing individuals to remain in their familiar surroundings, rather than being in a hospital or moving to residential/nursing care.

We are immensely proud of the work that we do, the lives that we have impacted so positively, and the enormous contribution that we have made to Highland communities and to the Highland economy. 

We also provide sector leading training in our industry leading facilities at our Care Academy. From First Aid to Moving and Assisting, we are the leading social care training provider in the North of Scotland.

We focus on providing thorough, high quality training programmes to individuals pursuing a career in social care, and to organisations looking to train new staff or keep their existing workforce up to date with the required skills.

We are also a Qualifications Approved Centre and are committed to providing comprehensive support throughout such qualifications as SVQ 2 and 3 in Social Services and Healthcare as well as PDA Health and Social Care: Administration of Medication SCQF level 7 and PDA Health and Social Care Supervision SCQF level 7. Our dedicated Assessors will be their to guide and support from start to finish.

All new employees to our organisation will have free access to training and SVQ and PDA qualifications.
