Location: Inverness
Shift: Monday to Friday - 08:30hrs-17:30hrs - Start time may vary to accommodate holiday cover.

About the Role

As a Operations Assistant, you will:

• Assist with planning loads (inbound and outbound) delivery for the operation whilst monitoring KPI for delivery on time, shift revenue and vehicle utilisation.
• Working with the Customer Service Team to ensure deliveries are scheduled as per customer requirements.
• De-briefing drivers.
• Provide holiday cover for Depot Manager and Transport Operators.
• Answering all customer queries via email, phone, and face to face.
• Ensuring that all contracted work is covered in line with customer expectations.
• Communicating collection times and delivery bookings with customers.
• Adherence to policies and procedures within the Business Area.
• Assist Depot Manager with carrying out Risk Assessments.
• General Administrative tasks.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Previous experience of working within a similar role in the logistics industry would be advantageous but not necessary.
• Strong geographical knowledge of the highlands area would be beneficial.
• Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Excellent organisational skills and prioritising workload.
• Attention to detail.
• Working to deadlines.
• Solution driven and flexible approach to your work.
• Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
• MS packages to include, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
