Be innovative and collaborative. Be a 'Strathclyder'

We are the University of Strathclyde. Our vision is innovative and groundbreaking, placing us amongst the world’s leading international technological universities. We are vibrant, dynamic, and passionate about solving the challenges facing society and industry through our cutting-edge, multi-disciplinary research, education, and knowledge-exchange with both local and global partners.

Strathclyde Executive Education and Development (SEED), part of the triple accredited Strathclyde Business School, is looking to accelerate our further realisation of this vision through the appointment of a Programme Assistant for our Graduate Apprenticeship in Business Management Programme.

Our Unit

SEED is the University centre for Executive and Leadership development. We engage with a wide range of organisations across all sectors and sizes, and we work closely with practitioners, thought leaders and the professional statutory & regulatory bodies who set the standards and contexts in which organisations of all sizes and sectors operate. Our client base incorporates high potential SMEs, global multi-national corporations, family businesses, social enterprises, NGOs, public and 3rd sector organisations who we help develop the strategic leadership needed to build a prosperous, fairer, and more inclusive society.

The Opportunity

Strathclyde Executive Education and Development (SEED) seeks a motivated and ambitious Programme Assistant to join its team. In this role, you will provide a wide range of administrative support duties for several SEED programmes, primarily focusing on the Business Management Graduate Apprenticeship Programme.

Reporting to the Programme Manager (Graduate Apprenticeships), you'll offer administrative support for apprenticeship degrees alongside other corporate programme offerings. Additionally, you'll handle general administrative tasks such as procurement, finance, planning, and supporting on-campus delivery. The role is crucial in maintaining our high service and delivery standards, underpinning our commitment to operational excellence and an outstanding student experience.

To be considered for the role, you must possess either Higher grade level education or equivalent, coupled with relevant administrative experience. Alternatively, significant experience in a similar programme administration role within the Higher Education sector is acceptable. A proven track record of providing professional, high-quality student and customer experiences, as well as effective service delivery and operational excellence, is essential.

In keeping with our commitment to equality and diversity, we encourage applications from all sections of the community, particularly those who can support our Athena SWAN activity, which inspires the advancement and representation of women in higher education. For more information on diversity and inclusion at Strathclyde, please see here.
