Full Job Description

The Centre for Lifelong Learning (CLL) within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is seeking to appoint a Programmes Administrator (at 0.6FTE - 21hours/week to job share with an existing 0.4FTE member of staff) within CLL’s Operations Team. CLL delivers a wide range of online and on-campus programmes, including postgraduate, professional development, access and short-courses for the public (including the unique Learn50+ Programme). 


CLL’s Operations Team is central to the successful delivery of this broad portfolio of learning opportunities for adults from a diverse range of backgrounds. In this central post of Programmes Administrator you will work with Operations Team colleagues, the Operations Manager and Course Leaders to support programme delivery, driving excellence in student experience, systems and innovative working practice. 

 

Your remit will involve leading on the administration of the Strathclyde Institute of Genealogical Studies’ (SIGS) PGT, PGR and CPD activity, primarily the online MSc in Genealogical, Palaeographic and Heraldic Studies, and the administration of the Strathclyde Centre for Occupational Safety & Health (SCOSH) PGT and CPD programmes, including the online MSc in Safety and Risk Management. 

 

You will be an experienced administrator, able to use your own initiative and deliver quality work to deadlines. Experience of academic administration is preferred, with an excellent understanding of online learning and VLEs. You will have previous experience in customer service, well-developed teamworking abilities and excellent communication skills to build successful relationships with a range of stakeholders. A continuous improvement mindset and excellent IT skills are essential to the role.
