Information Services (IS) is seeking to appoint Weekend Senior IS Assistants with established library, IT and customer service skills.
Information Services is responsible for IT and Library services, and within IS Customer Services, provide a central information hub in the Library to address Library & IT enquiries, to support customers in their use of any aspect of the Digital Infrastructure of the University and to address the wide variety of issues that students and academic staff face daily in a Higher Education setting.
Applicants should have experience of working in a library, information or IT support service in a customer-facing role, and a proven ability to deal with a variety of enquiries from University students, staff and visitors. The role is based within the Andersonian Library, a busy and vibrant academic environment where a broad variety of enquiries are presented. Knowledge and experience of library circulation, online services and software packages including Microsoft Office and Outlook will be of benefit, alongside knowledge and understanding of wider University processes, procedures and systems.
The postholder will join the IS Enquiries team, part of the Customer Services division of Information Services. The team offers an excellent enquiry service directly to the customer, and collaborates with colleagues throughout the Library, Information Services and the University.
