NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HCPC registered Occupational Therapist to join our supportive and welcoming band five rotation.

This post is perfect for a new graduate OT, an Occupational Therapy student awaiting registration or someone looking to broaden their experience within a varied rotational post.

In our band five rotation there are opportunities to rotate through orthopaedics, surgical, neuro / stroke rehabilitation, wheelchair services, the Inverness community teams and The National Treatment Centre.

In the post, you will work with patients with a wide variety of conditions and presentations.
In the acute hospital rotations, your focus will be on facilitating safe and timely discharges from the hospital setting.
In some parts of the rotation, there will be a requirement to work as part of a seven day rota.

You will have opportunities for continuous professional development, you will receive regular clinical supervision and you will have the opportunity to be involved in practice placement education.

The Raigmore Hospital / Inverness Community Occupational Therapy teams are warm and friendly teams, who deliver a high quality service with a dynamic and patient centred approach.

Inverness is the capital of the Scottish Highlands and offers a wide range of leisure opportunities for those looking to live in a beautiful city that is both well connected and is the gateway to the great outdoors.
A full driving licence is essential for this role.
