It is not-for-profit organisation, established in April 2007 but with a pedigree stretching back over 40 years. Its aim is to strengthen the long-term health of the offshore oil and gas industry in the UK by working with companies across the sector, governments and relevant organisations to address issues that will affect the industry’s future success. We are looking for 3 graduates, 2 to assist the Operations Director and 1 to assist the Environment Director by undertaking studies and analysis in conjunction with member companies and representing Oil & Gas UK to outside bodies including government. You must have strong numerical and analytical reasoning skills, an ability to think creatively and be able to clearly present yourself and your ideas.    The successful candidate will support the development of policies which enhance the competitiveness and sustainability of the UK upstream oil and gas industry. Specifically, this includes the policies that address key operational, political, legal, commercial and environmental issues. You will have strong organisational and presentation skills to support the various forums. This will include recording and issuing minutes along with following up on actions and undertaking individual projects in connection with the forum and its workgroups. You will help with member company surveys, analysis of industry/stakeholder activities and to provide data and images of the industry which feed into Oil & Gas UK reports, statements and briefs through rigorous analysis and clear communication. The successful candidate should also be willing to work out of hours on occasion and to travel within the UK. The role gives an ideal introduction to this industry; providing a broad perspective, opportunities to build analytical and interpersonal skills, create a large network of contacts and will provide plenty of challenge and interest to the successful candidates.
